Understanding of International Markets:

Through our network of local advisers and partners within emerging markets, we have the understanding and the resources to accelerate a company’s global expansion. When investing in different geographic regions, we generally invest in preferred equity of a company. However, our understanding of the legal framework in these markets gives us the luxury of also investing in different tranches of equity, debt and hybrid securities.

DoubleRock has an extensive network within the entrepreneur community through its partnerships with GENO, TiE and the ValleyVC (the incubator arm of DoubleRock). Our ValleyVC incubator, through its alliances with other incubators in the Bay Area such as FoundersDome and Y-Combinator, is exposed to a regular stream of new deals on a monthly basis. Our reach and high level of activity allows us to discover new talent, mentor and help develop promising entrepreneurs, and grow our reputation as a resource for entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley.

That is why, while our headquarters are located at the heart of innovation in Silicon Valley, we are strategically investing to secure future deal sources from emerging markets with our office in Hong Kong and with an office in India and Brazil planned for the near future.
